User Services
The User Services group manages the daily operational tasks of the Computing and Networking Infrastructure (CNI) group. We staff the IT Division Help Desk from 8AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday to provide computing support to Jefferson Lab (JLab) computer users. We may also assist you with any of the following:
- Accounts
- Calendar
- CVS Setups
- Data/File Transfers
- Desktop Support (Windows, Linux, and Macintosh
- File Restores
- Group Memberships
- Instant Messaging
- Off-Site Services
- Password Changes
- Printing
- Quota Increase/Descrease
- Subversion Setups
- Web Server Builds
- Wiki Setups
- Wireless Configuration
If you need assistance from the Networking, Telecom, Infrastructure (Hardware/Video Conferencing), CAD/CAE, Security, or SciComp groups, we act as a liaison on your behalf so you are assisted in a timely manner. We may also provide assitance and/or contact information for the MIS and Copy Services groups.
ATTENTION: Accelerator and Engineering Division Staff & Users
The Accelerator and Enginerring Division has their own support staff for computing. Please use ACE-PR to submit a work request for assistance.
