IT Maintenance Day

There will be numerous service outages during the IT maintenance period planned for Tuesday, June 16th, from 5PM to 10PM.  During this time, patches and configuration changes will be applied to JLab's primary DNS server, ns1, as well as to the Zimbra file servers. These systems will be rebooted between 5:15PM and 6PM to finalize updates.  As a result, there will be a short outage to the Zimbra email system, as well as, a slowdown in Internet connectivity while the DNS server is down.  All connectivity to the DNS servers and the Zimbra email system will be restored no later than 6PM.

In addition, there will be an outage of the MIS applications starting around 5:30PM.  They should be back up by 6PM.  There may be intermittent outages of various central services throughout the maintenance period as updates to the central services network switches are applied.   Finally, Linux and Windows patches, and updates to the core CUE software, will be released to the site .
