SecureShare Access Installation
SecureShare Access Installation
This handout will walk you through the installation of SecureShare
Access. SecureShare Access is software that allows you to set the permissions
of your home directory or group directories on file servers from your local PC (without
telnet).
Before you begin :
Installing SecureShare Access :
- Click on the Start menu, Programs then select Jlab - Cue,
Client Installed Programs, and click on Secure Access Setup.
- The first window that you will see is a file extraction
program. It will decompress the file needed for installation and then run
setup. Click on Setup to continue.
- After all the files are extracted, you will be greeted by a
welcoming window. Click Next to continue.
- The next window will be the licensing agreement. Click
Yes to continue.
- The next window will show you the installation destination on your
hard drive. The default directory is fine. Click Next to
continue.
- Now Secure Access will install to the destination directory.
When it is complete, a completion screen will appear. Click Finish
to exit setup.
- You will see the extractor again after you click Finish, but it will
disappear within a few seconds.
- To use Secure Access, go to your J or M drive (home or group area)
and select any directory and Properties. Select Secure Share tab, you
will see who has permissions. You can modify them as you need.
