Not all of the items show up there by default, and at the bottom of a particular menu, there's a little down arrow, which if pushed shows
the missing items.you need to turn off the Use Personalized Menu option.
Right click task bar and select Properties and uncheck the Use Personized Menus box.
To add local users, go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative tools, Computer Management, Local Users and Groups.
On NT 4.0 environment, when you double click Network Neighborhood, you can view your default domain. But on the Win2K environment, you have to click several times to get to the JLAB domain. You cam make a shortcut of JLAB on your desktop to browse JLAB domain.
To create JLAB shortcut, double click My Network Places, Entire Network, Microsoft Windows Network, and right click the JLAB. Drag and drop JLAB onto your desktop and give it a name (i.e. Jlab). You can double click that icon to browse JLAB domain.
Sometime users might want to create a larger Command Prompt Windows for various reasons. To create a larger Command Prompt Windows, go to start, Programs, Accessories, and select Command Prompt. Once the Command Prompt window is opened, click C:\ symbol on the upper left hand corner, Properties, and select Layout tab. You can edit the Screen Buffer Size and Window size. You can also change size of heights, font sizes or colors. Click OK after modification and select " Modify shortcut that started this Window" option.
To create Emergency Repair Disk (ERD), got to Start, Run and type ntbackup. Then select Emergency Repair Disk option. Make sure check the option of backup the registry to repair directory option.
