Instructions for using Dell Computer Corporation
web page for online ordering of JLab PC systems


NOTE:  We advise you to print this web page prior to starting these steps.   That way you will have a reference to look at as you go through the steps.

The instructions below point you to JLab's ordering site through Dell. Once you have successfully logged into the site, you will create an e-quote of the machine you would like to order. When you have completed your order, you will be provdied with an e-quote number. This number should be included in a req in the Requisition System.

Ordering Instructions

  1. To start, go to JLab's Dell Ordering Site.
  2. If you do not already have an account on the Dell webpages, please send an email to helpdesk@jlab.org and request an account on the Dell webpages.
  3. If you have an account on the Dell webpages, please login with your Dell username and password.
  4. You may now proceed with creating an e-quote. IMPORTANT: Please see the list of supported operating systems (OS) below.
  5. When you are finished with your e-quote, print the page or copy down the e-quote number that was be supplied.
  6. Enter the Requisition System and complete a req including your e-quote.
  7. Your e-quote will now go through the ADP approval. Once it has been approved, Procurement can continue with your PC purchase from Dell.

Currently Supported OS

New JLab PC purchases must be configured with one of the above OS. If you select an OS outside of this list, you will not have ADP approval, therefore, your order will be denied.
