MAC OS X Print Configuration
The print server for JLab is jlabprt.
The following are basic instructions for adding a printer from a Macintosh OS X system:
- Open System Preferences

- Open Print & Fax

- Make sure you are under the Printing tab
- Click the + to bring up the Print Browser

- Select IP Printer
- Select Line Printer Daemon - LPD for the Protocol
- Enter jlabprt.jlab.org for the Address
- Enter the name of the printer for the Queue
- Enter the name of the printer for the Name
- You may leave Location blank
- Select the proper driver for Print Using or use Generic
- Click add to complete the addition
- NOTE: Depending on the printer added, and the driver used, you may
now be asked for a few printer specific details or options.
