Warning Banner Installation -- Macintosh

The basic source of this information is CIAC's Bulletin J-043. It has been modified for local conventions.

A copy of a banner presentation program is being made available for Macintoshes. The program (originally doesecwar) was provided by Dave Moore of NAWCWD, China Lake, and has the local name of doesecwarn.

The program is installed as a system extension and displays a dialog box at startup showing the DOE warning and two buttons. If you press I Accept, startup continues normally. If you press I Decline, the system shuts down.

Installation

  1. Open the Apple menu.
  2. Select Chooser.

  4. Log into the JLAB Fileserver with your Unix (e-mail, db1, etc) username and password.
